BIOGRAPHY
Anthony Lynch was born on August 18, 1983 in Brooklyn to Rodney "Knowledge" Lynch and Leydey Rodriguez. The tragic murder of his father when he was just two years old, forced his mother to move Anthony, to a change of environment, East New York. Leydey Rodriguez worked two jobs to provide the best opportunities for her son. Anthony attended James Madison High School, where his entrepreneurial flair was first exhibited through his "multiple money making schemes". " I sold mixtapes, beats, 16's, songs, if you had a cd or mixtape coming out around me I wanted it" That hustler mentality caught the eye of A&B Music World producer and host Al Biggz during Anthony's junior year.
He gave Anthony a job working in a small independent music store but Al could see he was not cut out for it. "Anthony was a neighborhood superstar, and you can see he was meant for something much, much bigger "and granted Anthony a chance to be a co-host to his syndicated show. Through this show Anthony built up his industry connections and mingling with stars like Fabolous, 50 Cent and Sean "Diddy" Combs. Soon after, Anthony began interning for Bad Boy Worldwide Entertainment for much of his college years.
Anthony attended Fiorello LaGuardia Community College in Long Island City Queens, but his real education began when he signed up for an internship at Universal Motown Music Group, This is where he met the man who would become his boss, A&R Director Lyonel "Kay K" Rosemond ( famous for his work with Erykah badu, India Irie, Joe, and his own label Fallen Angels Music). His hard work, determination and commitment earned him the leap from intern at Motown to Assistant A&R Coordinator at the age of 21. Since joining the Motown family Anthony has worked with a bevy of artists including Erykah Badu, Maino, Yummy Bingham, Jae Millz, chamillionaire, Playaz Circle and Lil' Wayne.
The Nu Breed is Founded
Thereafter, Anthony decided he needed more. He later that same year created a groundbreaking new company of his own, which he branded The Nu Breed Music Group. He quickly acquired his former "partners in rhyme" Keith "Tryfle" Hudson and Luis "Bux" Bodre and Liam "Mozaliam". Taylor Though having independent success on their own, Anthony became the careful sculptor of their careers. He produced their music and influenced their image by tapping into the style and flare of urban youth. This combination ushered in the new genre of hip-hop, catapulting the music and style of African-American youth into the American mainstream and super-stardom.
